Kohii stores all your coffee data locally on your device. There is no account, login, or cloud sync, and your beans, brews, notes, and photos never leave your phone. The only things that ever leave your device are anonymous crash diagnostics and anonymous usage analytics, both described below — neither includes anything you have typed or photographed.
Your bean bags, brew logs, ratings, and tasting notes are stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data never leaves your phone unless you choose to export a backup file yourself.
If you add a photo to a bean or a brew, the app accesses your camera or photo library only at the moment you choose an image. Photos you select are copied into the app's local storage on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
Kohii lets you export your coffee log to a backup file and restore it later. These backup files are created and stored only where you choose to save them on your device. We never receive, access, or transmit them.
Kohii uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash diagnostics (device model, OS version, and the technical state of the app at the moment of a crash). No personal information, coffee data, notes, or photos are ever transmitted. Crash reports exist solely so we can fix defects, and are covered under our legitimate interest in keeping the app working.
Kohii uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which features are used, so we can improve the app. It records anonymous, pseudonymous signals only — which screens you open, how often core features are used, the app version, your device model, and your coarse region (country level). It never records anything you type or photograph: not a coffee, a brew, a rating, a tasting note, a price, or a bag photo. In regions where consent is required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), analytics collection follows the choices you make in the ad consent form (Google Consent Mode), which you can change at any time from Settings → Manage Ad Consent.
The free version shows a banner advertisement served by Google AdMob. In regions where consent is required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), you will be asked for your consent choices before ads are requested, and you can change them at any time from Settings → Manage Ad Consent. Upgrade to Premium to remove all ads.
The one-time Premium purchase is processed through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We do not handle or store any payment data directly.
All your data is yours. You can export it anytime from within the app, or delete it entirely by uninstalling the app. We have no central record of your data.
